Day Two Hundred Forty Six

Dear Readers,
What a game Oregon had last night.  I don't think I could have scripted a better start to the season.  Here we have a freshman quarterback starting over a guy who played really well in relief last year.  As good as the back up was last year, you just had to know there had to be something special about this freshman to start him.  Marcus Mariota had probably the best start of a college career as has ever been played.  At one point having more than ten straight completions.  Big plays from all our big players and everyone came out of the game healthy.  I am really excited for this season and that game lived up to the billing of showing us the best offense in college football.  At least I think so.  Go Ducks!  Here is to a great season and a National Championship.
I saw a great action movie today.  Expendables 2 was all action all the time.  Just the kind of movie that is perfect for vegging out and enjoying some serious butt kicking fun and jokes that make fun of all the old action flicks we grew up watching.  Including all the ones that have the actors in this one movie.  So many great action stars in one movie.  How in the world could that be nothing but a great idea.  Just explosions and fighting and fast driving and shooting and flying and leave out the romance mushy stuff.  Two hours of action eye candy.  This one also included Chucks Norris.  Just icing on top of the cake.  The best part had to be Chuck Norris using one of the jokes they use for him in the movie.  Kind of like the one where Chuck Norris' tears can cure cancer, but the only problem is that Chuck Norris never cries.  Or how when Chuck Norris does a push up, he isn't pushing himself up, but rather he is pushing the Earth down beneath him.  Ha ha ha.  Anyways, if you are looking for a way to beat the heat for a couple of hours and want to watch some serious butt kicking, go see the Expendables 2.  Don't go in with high expectations of a story line or great acting.  Just go in knowing that you are going to be entertained.
