Day Two Hundred Fifty Three

Dear Readers,
Our last day in Laughlin and I think we were ready to be heading home and leaving this smoke filled building.  It was a ton of fun, but it was getting hard to breath.  We finished off our time hitting up the casino for one last day.  In fact, we didn't leave the casino until we left to come home.  So, it was a bit of a shock to finally see the light of day, only to see the sunset merely a couple of hours later.  The biggest reason for coming out for this particular weekend was to watch the opening weekend of NFL football games.  And to bet on them.  It is awesome to be able to sit in one place and watch so many football games at one place.  Unfortunately, I didn't come out with some big winnings. At least I broke even on all my NFL bets.  It was still a lot of fun and made every game important and fun to watch.  Not to mention all the players I have to keep track of for my three different fantasy football leagues.  It was like football overload there for a little bit.  The best part of the day had to be watching my 49ers take out the Packers the way they did.  A strong defense that limits mistakes and mistackles and getting to see Alex Smith become a better quarterback that makes smarter decisions.  He still misses some easy throws that he should have down by now, but it looks like an improvement on what was already a good season last year.  Like I said though, he missed some passes that really frustrated the heck out of me.  Two plays in a row which looked like the exact same play, he missed the pass high twice in a row.  I feel as the season goes on though, that he will continue to get more comfortable and improve his accuracy.  Just in time for the playoffs.
Our last day was also my best day on the craps table.  Brent, Chris and I went to the table for one last game.  Chris was the most hesitant and almost didn't play, but I was able to convince him.  He was thankful for the nudge, because we all had a great round.  Other than Brent, it was our best round.  I hit a streak with the dice and rolled for about 45 minutes straight.  We all were winners and Chris actually won enough money on that one round to break even for the weekend.  It was especially cool after he had gone down to about seven bucks before that and looked like he was going to go home with even less cash than originally thought.  It was so much fun.  We were hitting points and making money and if you know anything about craps I even hit eleven twice in a row.  It made another lady really happy.  It was a great weekend, but it is nice being back home away from the smoke filled rooms and super hot outdoors.

More pictures of the end of our trip to Laughlin.
Our portion of the desert we taste tested at Harrahs.
I parked past the curb because I straddled it and went further that orginally planned.

Raina won her first hundred dollar chip at roulette.
Just in case you couldn't tell from the other picture.

We got serenaded at our breakfast.

Even us guys.
