Day Eight

Dear Readers,
Thank you for the comments of encouragement, they mean a lot to me.  It's especially good to hear from those of you I don't normally get to speak to on a more frequent basis.  I'm glad my ugly mug can bring you some daily joy.  And in reference to the music, I totally agree on the song selection for driving songs.
When I started this blog I thought I was going to share only once a week, thinking I wouldn't have very much to talk about.  I ended up having plenty on my mind the first few days though.  So now that it has become an everyday thing,  I started carrying around a notepad so that whenever an idea of something I want to talk about pops up in my head, I write it down.  Otherwise I would forget in about ten seconds.  I have a terrible memory.  The list is growing pretty quickly and hopefully there will be enough topics for all 366 days this year.  As much as my mind wanders all over the place I'm sure I'll find plenty of thoughts and experiences to share.  I may even throw in a rant every now and then.  Talk about something that really "grinds my gears".  Or live out one of my fantasies, such as owning the Dodgers.  And yes I believe I could do exceedingly better than the current owner or even the last one.  I miss the O'Malley family.  I am not a man of many words when talking in person, but for some reason when I get to typing I "show more insight into who I am" as some people claim.  So I will also take suggestions on future topics.  That way if there is anything that someone out there would like to find out about me, or just want my keen intellect on different subjects, I can respond in my blog.  That way, I feel, this is not just about me and allows inquisitive minds to delve deeper into the question "Who is David Ortega?".  And by the way, by keen intellect I actually mean my expansive knowledge of random movies and television shows and how I can relate them to real life.
I know I didn't have much to talk about today, but Raina and I ran seven miles today in continued preparation of the half marathon just four weeks away.  I was completely drained and napped for about three hours afterward.  Thanks again for all the love and support.  See you tomorrow.
